Each of John's keynotes is tailored for the specific audience John is addressing. He never reads a speech nor does he "lecture" as many academics do. His style is engaging, conversational, provocative and very frank. He can be as formal or informal as his audiences wish - equally comfortable in a tuxedo giving an after-dinner speech as he is in shorts conversing with delegates in an eco-resort. He enjoys "give and take" exchanges whenever possible. Below are six topics he addresses regularly:
1 - Becoming a Conscious Leader: John talks about how leaders today need to be not only skilled in the way to lead, they need to be critical thinkers, possessing the conscious awareness to do the right thing. He underlines the need for more than intellectual know-how. They need heart and soul so they inspire excellence, exceptionalism and commitment. Listen to John talk on this topic.
2 - Building a Conscious Organization: John describes a model for an organization that has a built-in immunity to bureaucracy, assuring greater functionality, attracting people who resonate with higher levels of productivity and who have less tolerance for the BS that is found throughout most organizations. Listen to John talk on this topic.
3 - Shaping the Future: As a futurist, John recognized that we are all shaping the future for better or worse as long as we are alive. He demonstrates how his audience can be more aware of the impact they are having on the future they will leave for their successors by shaping the present so the future is better for them.

4 - Discovering the New Paradigm: Paradigms have a huge
impact on our lives and yet they are often misunderstood. John clarifies
what paradigms are and how they may evolve or shift. He gives examples
of critical paradigm changes underway in the business community today,
as well as important paradigm shifts going on throughout the world.
John then shares his valuable insights and strategies on how to manage
effectively during this turbulent time. Listen to John talk on this topic.
5 - Critical Thinking for a Complex World: Nothing can cause more headaches than trying to resolve matters with outmoded thinking. John makes the distinctions between 20th and 21st Century thinking contexts, giving examples of disasters and miracles happen, depending upon the thinking applied. Listen to John talk on this topic.
6 - Understanding Systems and How They Misbehave: Perhaps the least understood mental models while being the most critical for our modern organizations is the dynamics of social systems. John provides examples of linear versus systems approaches to organizational and social dynamics, citing how systems "act up" with some predictability and how best to resolve systems problems. Listen to John talk on this topic.
